Intro:
Illusion means an image that arises from fantasy, hallucination, or dream by definition. In this exhibition, Suzy created a series of illusions, represented her childlike and profound self, and took audiences into the magical story, escaping the real world.

When you were a child, did you ever fantasize about the future or imagine what you would be doing and what kind of life you would have in the future? We still have illusions about the future when we grow up, but in the meantime, we have also experienced social tempering, and because of that, we have less virginity and more reality. If there was a place that could embrace us when we escaped, or there was a place that we dreamed of in the past, would we go for it?

Suzy was born and raised in 1988 in Taipei, Taiwan. She grew up going to an art studio for professional training, but what influenced her was all the doodling in the class or all the freestyle drawing through feelings.

In 2009, She created a character called” Mr.Smiling,” which she hoped, through a big smile, could convey a belief that never surrenders in the real world. She also starts doodling and draws arts on t-shirts, shoes, umbrellas, cups..etc. She starts participating in all kinds of markets and on TV to promote her brand. After graduating, she started combining music and illustration to create a short motion graphic film called “Dreaming” that participated in the GEISAI 2009 exhibition by Takashi Murakami. And also designed her first app game, “Calcul + Calculator.”

2019 she went back to Taiwan and started work as a freelance artist. She worked with K11 Mall for Audrey Hepburn Exhibition and created all the illustrations. Collab with famous pop artists for luxury clothing brands and start making art through AR tech, bending boundaries through 2D, 3D, AR, and VR.
