In my artistic explorations, I am deeply influenced by psychology, fairy tales and myths, and my practice is deeply rooted in a multidisciplinary approach that spans painting, printmaking, textiles and installation, digging deep into the beliefs and metaphors at the heart of the fairy tale and exploring narrativity and narrative power through the use of powerful colors and symbols to depict the magical world within. I use a playful and feminine vocabulary to engage in self-talk through my own state of being a woman and the world I live in, and aspire for my work to find a way of interpreting or organizing the situation, transforming it into an attempt to offer healing and care to others. And when I came to London I joined the C.G. Jung Club London. Using Jung’s writing as a starting point I began to explore the concepts of Collective Unconscious, Shadow, Anima/Animus, and Archetypes, constantly dealing with internal issues. The vocabulary of my work is more like a kind of murmuring dialogue with the inner child explore and internalize the resonance of my own self and human emotions, and at the same time, it’s also a subtle and realistic rewriting of the inner world.

A Red Love Letter to My Home on a Hill in Taiwan
I came to London from far, far away.
I flew 9,872 kilometers away from home.
I come from the hills of Chiayi County, Taiwan.
There’s Alishan, It has the hottest fire.
There‘s the song of God and the song of war.
There’s the spinning sun and the running moon.
It‘s a place where the stars laugh and the candles never go out.
It’s a place where I dream of dolphins collecting tears.
It‘s a place where faith is favored by God and angels.
It’s my favorite place.
There are red totems, red legends, red soil.
When my soul is marked with a red mark.
No matter how far I‘ve traveled, no matter how far I’ve gone.
The magical song on the hillside will always be in my heart.
I know it will be my soul‘s home forever.
The red home.
